If waking up the next day as Mr. and Mrs. wasn't enough - we were greeted with a fresh blanket of snow covering the Big Apple.
Chris ventured out for some fresh NYC bagels and turbo charged NY deli coffee. Yeah!
It was obnoxiously cold outside for early December so our plans shifted to indoors. We decided to take a short walk over to the Metropolitan Museum of Art but our short-cut through Central Park turned into an extended photo shoot.
Following the gorging - we decided to walk off some of the calories. Unfortunately, an evil bakery was hiding in the shadows and after a desperate and valiant struggle we found ourselves held captive in the firm grasp of its warmth and wonderful smells. We managed to escape with our lives - along with a few fresh baked cookies and homemade marshmallows. We proceeded immediately to the nearest corner deli to report the incident - and to buy some hot chocolate mix to go with the marshmallows. We were well on the way to recovery.
Interesting side note: those marshmallows made it back to NJ, stowed away on the flight back to Japan and made it past the drug sniffing dogs at Narita Airport. Hah!
