It's a good day for a parade

We headed over to the Ginza neighborhood to pick up some Origami paper at Ito-Ya (our favorite paper store).

After loading up at Ito-Ya we stumbled across this parade. We still have no idea what the occasion was (we have dubbed it The Ginza Parade) but it seemed to be some kind of dance celebration or competition.

Chris' favorite troupe was the group of guys who look like they decided to swing by on their lunch break (possibly from a nearby restaurant). Synchronization wasn't their forte and they didn't seem concerned with artistic impression - they just looked like they were having a lot of fun and the crowd was definitely into them.

Chris was also mesmerized by the giant red flag. Chris took plenty of pictures of this if you want to see more. One of them is now our screen saver.

An interesting side note; we were starving for lunch so we wandered into a small local place called Ichi Ban Maguro which served up some awesome sashimi and rice bowls!
