Wedding Bells

One of the main reasons that we headed back to the States was to celebrate Nicole's sister's wedding. Nicole headed up to Boston on August 18th to surprise Lynne for her bachelorette party. After a fun 5 hour bus ride from New York to Boston, Nicole arrived in her old hood, threw on some fresh clothes and makeup and ran out to meet the party. Lynne was a good sport and after some cajoling, donned a veil before hitting the bars. The celebration was very low key (no dancing on bars or doing shots) but everyone had a very good time.

The next week was a blur! Nicole and Lynne spent the weekend running around doing wedding errands in preparation for Lynne and Jason's big day. Chris arrived in Boston on Wednesday and we all headed out to a nice dinner at our favorite tapas restaurant. While Lynne and Jason were at work on Thursday, Nicole dragged Chris around Boston to run more wedding errands, fun!!
On Friday, Nicole and Lynne started preparing for Lynne's day by getting their nails and toes done and Lynne also got some new highlights at the salon. On Saturday we headed down to the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner (a New England style clam bake with giant lobsters) in Newport, Rhode Island.

Sunday was the big day! Lynne and Nicole started the day at the gym and then met the rest of the bridal party at the salon to get their hair done. After a few hours getting hair and makeup completed, the bridesmaids had a nice lunch before heading to Blithewold Mansion in Bristol, Rhode Island. Meanwhile, Jason and Chris spent the day at the beach. The day was perfect. It had been a bit cloudy and even started to drizzle on the drive to the reception site but the weather cleared in time for the ceremony and a made to order sunset arrived for dinner.
Lynne was true to form and was completely laid back before the big moment. The bride looked beautiful! The ceremony was perfect and after pictures, we joined everyone in the tent to dance the night away.

Congratulations Lynne and Jason!
