It has been a very long time. Sorry we've been such slackers but we traveled back to the States for most of August and now we have just arrived back in Tokyo.Nicole spent the first week of August in the LA/Santa Monica area visiting some friends and family 
while Chris toiled away at the office. Poor Chris :(
while Chris toiled away at the office. Poor Chris :( Nicole's friend Heather was gracious enough to let her stay with her for the week. She and her boyfriend have a great two bedroom in Santa Monica. Nicole woke up everyday and went for a run on the beach. It was really great spending time near the ocean and away from the concrete jungle that is Tokyo. Above is the view from Ocean Avenue.
In between running and shopping, Nicole and Heather went to a local manicure/pedicure establishment and Mary Tyler Moore was in there getting her nails done. We also saw Tracey Ullman and Thomas Gibson (Dharma & Gregg) while we were out. As far as sightseeing, we didn't do too much but did squeeze in the Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese Theatre and the Hollywood sign (from a distance).
Nicole was also able to catch up one night with one of her college roomates, Adam, and she finally met his new wife Melissa. On the last night in Santa Monica Nicole had dinner with her cousins who she has not seen in years. The week flew by Nicole was very excited to get back to New Jersey to see Chris and our families.
