We both flew into New Jersey on August 10th and stayed at Chris' parents' house for the weekend (more accurately we slept all weekend).On Saturday, we had a marathon day of wedding things planned, fun! Nicole dragged Chris around to meet with the caterer at the reception hall and photographer.
Sunday was much better by Chris' standards because it involved a family BBQ, baseball and some beer. Chris' brother grilled up some mean skirt steaks (an old Dominican recipe) along with some sausage and peppers. Would it be a post if we didn't include some sort of menu??
Chris' cousin Lisa is the resident baker so she provided the sweet treats. Lisa made three different types of ice cream (coffee, mint chip, chocolate peanut butter) and a fruity sherbet. I think we both put on a few pounds on this trip. Last but not least, Chris' cousins Zach and Sarah made us a poster for our return to the States. We included a picture of it above.
