Frogger

Here's a picture of Chris in the ever-growing tomato garden. Still sporting his work clothes he could pass for an Italian grandfather circa 1940.

The 5 foot stakes we bought at a nearby florist (they had no idea why we wanted to buy them and our 2nd grade Japanese speaking level made for some interesting dialogue) are coming in handy. We already have some green tomatoes and we hope to have them in a salad sometime soon. We're also trying to figure out how we're going to water them when we're in the states for our 3 week tour of NY, NJ, Boston and RI. August is kind of hot here (understatement) so we'll have nothing but pots of dirt if we don't make some kind of arrangement.

But the BEST thing about the garden has to be its newest arrival - a big, giant frog. Well, Dig 'Em is actually about the size of a golf ball (and we're not entirely sure whether he's a frog or a toad) but we imagine he has a big tongue and an appetite for mosquitoes so we've rolled out the welcome mat and told him to bring his friends.
