Fast forward to moving day. It only took an army of real estate agents, 50 apartment viewings and a quick education in the delicate art of rent negotiation (we actually lost a bid on one rental!). Suckers, we wound up with this beauty for less money.
The move was coordinated buy a native Californian who insisted on bowing at every occasion. And needless to say, the Tokyo crew was slightly more polite and professional than the Boston & NYC hooligans.
A quick note on the master bedframe assembly - after 30 minutes of confused laughter and zero progress, the crew politely informed us they would be taking their lunch break. I couldn't blame them.
Here's some evidence of the mayhem.
